Rated 5 out of 5 by from has worked perfectly for the last 3 years bought one of these for venus flytraps in the winter 3 years ago, put a ceramic metal halide light bulb in it compatible with 400w ballasts and it has worked perfectly since i put the fixture in, runs 12 hours a day 7 days a week for 6 months of the year during the winter. either awesomeface is a internet review troll posting a fake review or he got a faulty fixture or didn't set it up properly. you need to make sure the voltage taps are correct and wired to the native voltage of the circuit the fixture is going on the first time or risk burning out the ballast on a wrong voltage. also you need a square bit to loosen up the screws that balance it when mounted with a hook and cord kit, also you need a hex bit to mount the reflector. if you got a faulty fixture it's easy to replace the ballast in it, look on YouTube for a video on how to replace and properly wire a 400w PSMH ballast

How far should these be spaced apart when mounted on the ceiling 18 from the floor with the reflector on a wide distribution?

Asked by: JoeElectricCo
It looks like we need a little more information to determine spacing. Please contact customer service at 888-243-9445 to speak with an applications engineer.

Do you think this fixtures will resist been hit it with soccer ball? I have an indoor soccer facility and the fixtures that I have now are aluminum and are not good

Asked by: Pabl
Although we cannot guarantee that a blow from a soccer ball will not cause damage, here are a few suggestions to help prevent damage to the fixture. Install the fixture using the cord and plug mounting option - this will cause the fixture to swing, if hit. Also, installing the wire guard (E-WG-AP) will help keep the lens from distorting; further helping to keep the fixture safe upon install.

How many amps does it use

The fixture’s draw is specific to the voltage used. Please refer to the Ballast Line Current Data (https://www.e-conolight.com/pdf/BALLAST%20DATA.pdf).

would you be able to get more of these manufactured if you received a huge order for them (over 200 fixtures), my facility makes things for DARPA that create EMP's and lots of static electricity, and we need lights without any electronics/silicon in them.

Asked by: AnonymousCoward
If you are able to commit to the full 200 fixtures, we can place a specialty order for you. However, this would be a one-time buy with no returns. Please email us at contact@e-conolight.com for further assistance.

I need to replace a Ruud IAP2640 fixture and this was suggested as an alternative. Are the reflectors interchangeable? If so, can I buy the ballast separately?

Asked by: dustyjim1983
This fixture is only sold as a complete kit.
