If the world was perfect, then yes. But it’s not, so no. The components used in a HID fixture are power consumption-specific. So, a metal halide (MH) lamp can only be used in a fixture with an MH ballast. The good news is that our fixtures use industry-standard lamps that can pretty much be purchased anywhere.
Aside from the fact that they sound like they'd be on the periodic table, high pressure sodium (HPS) lamps give off a soft yellow/orange light and a longer lamp life, while metal halide (MH) lamps give you a white light with a higher CRI.

Typical mounting height is the range (in feet above grade) that a fixture should be mounted. Typical spacing is the measurement used (in multiples of mounting height) that two or more fixtures should be mounted apart from each other. Once you get these right, you’ll be the grandmaster of optimal light distribution.

Yes. The high-intensity discharge (HID), fluorescent, and quartz halogen lamps used in our fixtures are your regular run-of-the-mill lamps, so you can get them from local retailers and lighting suppliers. Just keep in mind, this doesn’t apply to LED fixtures.

Place it before noon CT during business hours, and our in-stock items ship the same day. Expect a nice package on your doorstep within 3-7 business days. Orders over 300 pounds will be shipped common carrier and need to be unloaded by the customer (that’s you). All shipments are F.O.B. original and once the product leaves our factory, it’s considered all yours. Congrats, by the way.
All orders $500 or more are the best thing ever: Free. If an order is less than $500, we tack on a small 12.5% shipping and handling fee, with a $14.95 minimum, but the most you’ll ever pay for shipping and handling is $39.99. As a side note, to get free shipping, orders have to ship to one location, using carriers chosen by us. Hawaii and Alaska don’t qualify for free shipping, but they make up for it by being Hawaii and Alaska.

All steel bullhorns measure 2-3/8” O.D. and accommodate an e-conolight adjustable slip fitter. Bullhorns must be purchased separately.

Before you place an order, we recommend working with an engineering firm, since regional soil conditions and wind speeds vary, to find the best poles and EPA loadings for every install. Follow the steps above and use our EPA calculator, for your convenience.
Freight charges are included in the price of our poles and bullhorns. When you place your order, make sure to provide a full shipping address (no PO Boxes) that has enough room for a large truck delivery. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to expedite orders. Since poles and fixtures ship from different locations, we can’t guarantee that both will arrive on the same day.
Note: Anchor bolts ship with every pole order, but they aren’t included with each bullhorn order. If you request that an anchor bolt ship in advance, please be aware that additional freight charges will apply. We ship to the continental US only. Oh, and once the products arrive, you’re responsible for the off-loading.
Poles and bullhorns are custom-manufactured for each order, which means they can’t be modified or canceled once your order is placed. They also can’t be refused at the time of delivery. If a pole and bullhorn arrives damaged, we ask that you sign for it as “damaged” and then contact customer service at 1-888-243-9445. But, keep in mind, if you refuse a shipment, we’re unable to help with a credit.
Partially galvanized anchor bolts and hardwire are made with each pole. How are the anchor bolts made? From a carbon steel bar conforming to AASHTO and ASTM Grade-55 requirements. If you’d like to ship the bolts in advance, please let us know as soon as you place your order. There’s also an additional freight charge involved. Side note: bolts and their accompanying poles have to be shipped to the same address.
A rectangular shaped handhole is furnished and includes a plastic cover and attachment bar with machine screw. The handhole is located 18-inches above the pole base.
We provide a ground lug near the handhole, and it includes a hex-head bolt and nut.
You’ll find a standard full base cover, made from ABS plastic, included with each steel pole. Its two pieces are held together with two plastic, hand push rivets. If you order a Round Tapered Aluminum pole, it’ll come with a nut cover.
Each pole comes with a removable pole cap for fixture side mounting or no drill. If you buy a pole with a tenon top configuration, those don’t include a pole cap.
All of our poles are mechanically cleaned and coated with a baked-on powder topcoat (electrostatically applied, mind you) that’ll give you years of worry-free operation. Since we like things to match, all of our poles and bullhorns are painted in dark bronze, to match our fixtures and mounting options.
This is the best part, so we saved it for last. All of our poles are under warranty and guaranteed to be free of defects, in materials and workmanship, for one year after the date of delivery. If you think you do have a defect, let us know and if the pole qualifies, we’ll repair or replace any defective part for free. What’s not included in the warranty? Glad you asked. Fatigue failure, or anything similar, that results from induced vibration, harmonic oscillation, or resonance associated with movements of air currents around the pole. Bonus points for saying that three times fast.
The above warranties are given in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including and without limitation, the warranty of merchantability and the warranty of suitability for a particular purpose. It is expressly stated that e-conolight assumes no liability for consequential or liquidated damages arising out of a breach of the sale, including any warranties arising therefrom and buyer's remedy shall be limited to repair or replacement of defective parts as described above.
NOTE: EPA ratings are our poles are only valid for—you guessed it—our poles. We can’t guarantee they’ll work with poles from any other lighting supplier or manufacturer. Also, it’s your job as the customer to pick the right pole based on the right mounting configuration and wind loading of the area where your installation will take place. We reserve the right to reduce the credit amount or upon inspection refuse the return if the product(s) is determined not to be in resaleable condition.
To make a return: first, submit a return request here or give our Tech Support team a call at 1-888-243-9445 to get authorization. Then…well, they’ll tell you the plan. Light poles and bullhorns are custom made and cannot be cancelled or returned. Discontinued and Clearance products cannot be returned.
We believe in freedom of…everything, so no. Whoever you choose, make sure to get tracking, since you’re responsible for the return shipment. Not to mention, you never know where those packages will turn up. If a package does get lost, you’re in charge of filing a claim.
