Rated 5 out of 5 by from more light in dark areas I have used these lights in many different areas on my campus and they work great and I am still buying these. I am almost done lighting up all of my dark areas of our parking lots... Reusing my existing old pole lights and buying bullhorns and mounting these on top of old poles and low voltage from The LED saves me money. They are very bright and you can direct the beam of light so if you have neighbors that may complain about the light you can direct it away from them. You can use these on 120/277/240 volts. can not say enough about them. I am still waiting to see how long they last and will write in at a later date to see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective parking-lot flood light application In order to increase commercial grounds security lighting, replaced HP Sodium 90 & 70w with this unit, very effective – more light. Amusing that initially there were issues the light cycling on-off at night, however, resolved when the photocell was directed completely away from light-beam source and cell-shielded. A#2 Originally moved to RMA(return) unit due to relatively large pole mount requirements – where commercial flat-top roof mounting was required and pole mount adapter option was not ordered; although I fashioned a tripod stand with conduit cut-outs. Happy I kept unit rather than returning. Tell e-conolight Receiving not to expect a RMA return ; )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Design & Build I was not sure what to expect for a budget LED outdoor floodlight and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality enclosure and well thought out mounting adjustments. The light output matched the online design tool making my application a success. If the longevity is as specified this is a great value!!

Is it wire for 277v also? Thank you.

    Asked by: Pepe
Yes this fixture can be wired to 277V. The voltage applied to this fixture is 120V through 277V. Here is a copy of the spec sheet for convenience: http://www.e-conolight.com/pdf/SpecSheets/eco_spc_hl8_series.pdf

Can this unit be attached to a wooden telephone pole?

    Asked by: DanSMYC
Our fixtures are designed to fit on a 2 3/8" tenon, usually on a steel or aluminum pole. If you safely attach a tenon then it would work on a wood pole.

Can you remove the slip fitter and mount this light to a 6" mounting arm?

    Asked by: Fredrock
Unfortunately no, these fixtures are designed to just have the 2 3/8" slip fitter only.

    looking for carp boat lights....

    Asked by: david klein
Best fixture to use for this would be a high pressure sodium fixture (HPS), here is one that we have in stock, E-HC2H151Z, as of this moment but it is discontinued and will no longer be available once its gone. http://www.e-conolight.com/outdoor-lighting/floodlight/150-watt-hps-floodlight-9-x-9.html

I am looking to use (2) of these on a pole 18' high to light up a small home basketball/tennis court that is 30' x 60'. Would this be enough light? And, should I go with Cool White or Natural White?

    Asked by: doug52748
To determine the light spread for your application space, please see our Outdoor Lighting Layout Tool, and use our Outdoor Calculator: http://www.e-conolight.com/resource_center/resources/lighting-layout-tool. The kelvin temperature is generally a preference determined by the customer's liking. A 4000K is a whiter light, similar to the color of a PSMH. Whereas the 5000K is closer to daylight, but may have bluer hues to the color temperature of the light. If further assistance is needed, please contact customer service at 888-243-9445 to speak with one of our application engineers.

I'm replacing some lights that are mounted on 2" round pipe, I believe the OD would be 2-3/8". The picture shows a square mount slip fitter. Do these work on that round pipe or would I need an adapter?

    Asked by: DerekB
The mounting on this fixture is a 2 inch adjustable slipfitter. It is intended to slide over a 2-3/8" outer diameter round tenon. The outside of the slipfitter appears square to match our square poles of they are being used together. For any additional questions, please contact our customer service department at 1-888-243-9445.

Our existing pole has a 2" OD mounting arm. Does Econo-Lite have a square to round adapter?

    Asked by: Ritch
We do offer a 4" square pole mount with 2-3/8" O.D. tenon (E-ACPB1A4Z). This fits over 3-1/2" O.D. square.
