    Is the AC on indicator light supposed to be red when it's working? We just had an inspection and we were told it is supposed to be green to indicate that the battery is working.

    This requirement (for the LED indicator to be GREEN when battery is connected) came into effect a few years ago. This model was listed by UL earlier than that, so it doesn’t have that feature incorporated. When UL made the change, it was only needed to be added to newly designed models.     Are these supposed to be lit up all the time? We had a power outage and all of them went dark so im not sure if this is a battery back up problem or not. Also when hitting the test button it would cut the power off then turn it back on. is this correct?

    This fixture should stay lit at all times, and then when the power goes out it should switch automatically to operate off of the 90-minute backup battery. Your description of how the test button is functioning sounds accurate; however, these should stay lit during a power outage for up to 90 minutes. This fixture has a 5 year limited warranty.
