49.5-Foot LED Flexible Cable Strip Lighting 3500K Soft Output is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great system! I bought the appropriate transformer & cables to mount outside under a 10' x 11' trellis. I used the channels to mount the strips to the wood. Looks great after installation. Only problem so far is that they're so bright that it seemed like daylight instead of "mood lighting" after dark. I ordered the dimmer (I'd recommend for ANY installation) and 5' cables to mount to the wall, & it worked perfectly (even though they're supposed to be weatherproof, I put them inside of a weatherproof box & PVC channel to protect from sun exposure. You can hardly tell that there's anything there until you turn them on. Very classy appearance. Here in Arizona it's really hot, and my prior standard rope lights & mounting channels deteriorated from the UV light exposure, so I really hope they stand up to the elements (since they are a little expensive).

Can it be mounted with double sided tape?

    Asked by: Mikie
We do not recommend this, as using double sided tape could void the warranty of the product. This installation method has been safety tested.

What power supply is needed for a 49.5 ft. Run of the led strip lights? Also, can i use velcro. I don't want to drill holes in my vinyl railing. THis will be for outside, is that ok?

    Asked by: roge
The power supply needed for the 49.5' cable is currently unavailable. However, the cable can be cut into four sections and run individually with the purchase of four 15W drivers. The velcro would not damage the product in anyway and is acceptable for installation. The product is UL listed for wet locations and may be used outside, as long as it is installed per the instruction manual.

What happens if you cut a piece not between the arrows?

    Asked by: Tampa customer
This is not recommended, as it could be unsafe and not work upon install. We suggest cutting at the next arrow and terminating as the install sheet instructs (http://www.e-conolight.com/pdf/Instructions/CI368X01R2.pdf). If further assistance is needed please contact customer service at 888-243-9445.

1). Where in the SPECS would we find the "wattage per foot" rating, in order to calculate the required driver? 2). Where would we find the specs for "minimum and maximum operating temperature"? Important questions every purchaser should know before.

    Asked by: Tony M
    This information can be found on the spec sheet (https://www.e-conolight.com/pdf/SpecSheets/E-CLC%20SERIES.pdf) in the "Technical Specifications" section. The wattage per foot rating is: 35K S.O. - 1.1W/ft, 35K H.O. - 2.2W/ft & 65K H.O. - 2.2W/ft The minimum and maximum operating temperature is: -20°C (-4°F) - 50°C (122°F).
